About the Home

Mission Statement

Excellence in senior care reflective of Jewish values.

For five generations, the non-profit Los Angeles Jewish Home has been the place of safety and security, activity, wellness, and longevity for seniors.

Today's Jewish Home is a complete multi-level senior living facility, providing seven distinctive levels of care that include Independent Living, Residential Care, Assisted Living Care, Skilled Nursing, Geriatric Psychiatry, Alzheimer's Care, and Skirball Hospice.

A pioneer and national leader in life-enhancing senior care, the Jewish Home emphasizes the complete needs of the individual — body, mind, and spirit.

With a focus on the needs of the "whole person," the Home's programs, protocols, and services incorporate the very latest senior care research and findings, resident feedback, and a culturally-based tradition of respect and compassion for seniors and families.Garden walkways

The Jewish Home is the largest multi-level senior living facility for seniors in the Western U.S.

With more to look forward to each and every day, Jewish Home residents enjoy life an average of 2-3 times longer than at typical senior care facilities. Our average resident age of 90 — six years above the national average — is a powerful testament to the quality of life at the Home.

The Home's acclaimed Goldenberg•Ziman Special Care Center is a model of sensitive, state-of-the-art care for seniors living with the challenges of Alzheimer's disease. Our beautiful Joyce Eisenberg-Keefer Medical Center has set a new standard for 21st century skilled-nursing, rehabilitative therapy, and behavioral care.

The Jewish Home's care and enlightened services are now being replicated across the nation and throughout the world.

To address the needs of a dramatically growing senior population and the changing dynamics of senior-care financing, the Home is expanding its residential options to create a diverse array of attractive choices for independent seniors. Fountainview at Eisenberg Village is the Home's new complex of 108 spacious one- and two-bedroom residences.

As advances in medicine and wellness extend the lives of our seniors, and the needs of our community grow, the Jewish Home will continue to innovate and expand, providing as many seniors as possible with safety, security, and the high quality of life they deserve.

On two modern campuses in the San Fernando Valley, over 1,000 Jewish Home residents enjoy world-class medical care, fitness, and nutrition in a vibrant social, intellectual, and cultural environment that is designed to improve health and add meaningful years to their lives.
